I voted SS because I'm assuming you mean alcoholic drink and I don't drink alcohol (pregnant or not). But I am really looking forward to having an A&W rootbeer! Haven't had one since the GD diagnosis.
I had my first drink last night, as it was my first night staying at my house since being hospitalized on 10/3!! I was dying for a beer, so I had a Bell's Two Hearted in a frosty glass
After my first I had no interest in alcohol until about a month postpartum, recovery and mastering breastfeeding took over and I just didn't have a taste for it.
I'm assuming it will be the same this time, and when the time is right I will have that long awaited chardonnay and/or kir royal. yummmm.
I'm dying for anything with tequila in it. Although egg nog and apple cider sound great, too. This will be me at the hospital if I get that tequila IV I was considering…
Not sure. I've had a small glass of wine every few weeks or so through my third trimester so don't feel a lot of pressure or craving. I nice cold beer might be good.
Thank you @kyliedaniellexx I think some extra special Egg Nog sounds FANTASTIC! I saw the boatload of jugs at walmart already, and was tempted, but I'm holding out for Thanksgiving or Snow, whichever comes first. Future MIL always makes fun frilly holiday drinks, so those would be my backup first drink if I don't end up rounding up some special-nog myself first!
OMG now that I can't have it I have been craving a rum runner all summer! I am most definitely a hard liquor girl so I might have to wait a little longer, but it will be so worth it! MIL makes coquito, which is basically raw coconut mixed with lots and lots of bacardi for xmas Can't wait for my gallon jug to be made.
I've had some really awesome wine in my fridge for awhile now. I will definitely be drinking it when I get home from the hospital & am off pain meds, so probably between 1-2 weeks after she's born
I asked my DH to bring me a XL Sweet Tea from Bono's (or any other BBQ restaurant) as soon as the baby is born. I've had withdrawals this entire pregnancy and I can't wait for my first sip (or gulp)! I can just taste it now!
Is it bad that I'd prefer a sweet tea over an alcoholic beverage? Oh well.
Not planning on drinking at the hospital, esp since I'm planning to start breastfeed right away. I've got conflicting information on drinking and breastfeeding so I want to wait until we get a breastfeeding routine down before reintroducing my body to alcohol. When I do have that first drink though, it's going to be a dark beer. Probably a stout - very likely a Sweet Baby Jesus Chocolate Peanut Stout. (drool)

I'm not a drinker so I voted SS-because the drink I'm craving right now is a giant Dunkin Donuts REGULAR (not this decaf crap!) coffee with tons of cream and sugar!!!! I already told DH he is going to run out and get me one after baby is born.
I don't metabolize caffiene well during pregnancy so gave it up after I got preg. I am CRAVING it now. Heck, if I have this baby like this week, with the warm weather we're having I'll make it a FROZEN mocha coffee! MMmmmmmm.....
Re: First Drink After Baby is Born?
I'll probably wait a bit, more just because I'm not going to make one myself and I won't be rushing to dine out.

Honestly, I'm more looking forward to an italian sub!!!!
