First ultrasound

I'm going for my first ultrasound tomorrow. I will be exactly six weeks pregnant (according to my calculations). My HCG is a little over 12,000 as of Monday. My doc wants me to have a early ultrasound due to past miscarriages. Has anyone seen anything on an ultrasound this early?

Hi Flgrl804 good luck tomorrow. On my first pregnancy, all I saw was the gestational sac during my first visit at 6 weeks. My first pregnancy was not viable, this is why it was empty. If you are lucky, you may hear a heartbeat (not everyone hears a heartbeat this early, so don't be scared if you don't).

I have my first ultrasound scheduled at 7 weeks! Keep us posted on your ultrasound results and what you saw...please!

Good luck tomorrow! I have my first appointment on Monday and may also have an ultrasound due to past MC's. My Dr didn't want me to have an appointment this week because chances are not much would show. I'm kind of hoping I get mine that first appointment as well!

Good luck tomorrow! At 6w we were able to see the hb fluttering, along with the yolk sac. It is still a little early so go in with an open mind.

The rule is at least 6 weeks to see a heart beat. Try not to freak out too much if you don't see one. Easier said than done of course. They would probably have you return in a week for a repeat. Good luck tomorrow! It has to be so nerve wracking and exciting all at the same time. Mine is in a week and it cannot get here fast enough!

I have never had an u/s before 7 weeks, so I have no advise. I just wanted to say that I will be thinking about you tomorrow. I hope it is a wonderful scan for you.
