Difficulty latching on one side only?

My LO seems to latch great on one side but has difficulty on the other. At a glance, everything looks right and it doesn't always hurt initially. At times he pulls and tugs at my breast. It almost seems like something is going on with the way he sucks or something. It also leaves me with a stinging sensation afterwards. Has anyone else experienced this? He's not tongue tided either. Thanks!!!

    I also had those stinging sensations up until DD was about 7-8 weeks old if I remember correctly. She almost hated my left side for no apparent reason. I was told that it's common for them to prefer one boob over the other especially because we tend to have one that produces more. Fast forward to now (21 weeks) she prefers my left and will only eat from the right for about 3-5 min. No stinging sensations anymore, so it will get better :-)

    I do notice that when I pump the side he prefers gets more milk. Do you have to pump from the side she nurses less on?
