I'm allergic to Meow

Since I got home from Oregon, my allergies have been making me crazy.  I thought I had a cold at first, but today it is classic allergies.  Last night while I was holding Meow (our cat--Nora got her for Christmas and named her), I started sneezing like crazy.  Then it dawned on me.  Crap.  I guess I'll just have to suck it up and wait for my body to get used to having a cat again.  I had always had cats as a child and they never bothered me.  We already have a yellow lab (big shedder), so I didn't even dream about a cat causing my allergies to flare.
