Still go. Are you BF? If you are, it's not period blood and still just PP bleeding. I had what I thought was the start of my first period because I hadn't had any blood/spotting since about 3 weeks PP, but I asked and I was told there's no way it was my period already. Gave it a day and the spotting stopped.
If you aren't BF, I don't know the normal times for the period to come back, but I'd still go to the doctor as scheduled. If something hasn't healed correctly, you/your doctor need to know now regardless of what else is going on down there
@kareik01 Nope, I stopped a little before 2weeks pp.
So when they ask you to get nakey, doooo you leave the undies on? Obviously I will let the nurse know what's going on but I'm just wondering what the normal thing to do is.

I'm pretty sure you can get your period at 6 weeks pp even if you are breastfeeding.
I'm being featured in a new pregnancy/motherhood blog during the month of October, so if you ever wanted to know more about my pregnancy, birth, and motherhood experiences than anyone ever should, check out my posts in the link below!

This is ridiculous. You can certainly get your period while BFing.
@Kareik01 you know you can get pregnant whole BFing, right?
Agree with above. Saw doc for 6 week check last week, she said if I was bleeding still this week it likely want my period and I'd need an ultrasound. Inactually 8 weeks out. Last thing I want is a d and c to clean me out so I'll wait another week before scheduling ultrasound.
You absolutely can get your period while bfing! I got my first pp period after DS at 8 weeks pp. And got it every flipping month until I got pregnant on my wedding night — while still exclusively bfing! We hadn't started ds on any solid foods at all.
I got my first pp period at 6 weeks pp this time. Had a c/s, a week of heavy pp bleeding, followed by 2 weeks of extremely light spotting, and zippo for 3 weeks. Then bam. Period. Yuck.
Moral is the story, don't rely on bfing for birth control! And you can get your period early while bfing.
Yes I do know you can get your period while BF, just typically not nearly this soon. It took my sister over a year to get her first period because she exclusively breast fed, which I've heard will often delay the return longer.
Yes I also know you can get pregnant while BF, even if you haven't had a period. You ovulate before you have a period, so if you ovulate and have sex before your period returns, pregnancy is still possible.
Sorry for the confusion, I didn't mean to make it sound like I think these things weren't POSSIBLE.
OP, if it makes you feel better.. Leading up to IF treatments (IUI & IVF) it is standard protocol to come in for wand u/s' during AF to ensure your ovaries are quiet before starting stimulants. I can't tell you how many times I had an exam while on full out AF. (TMI:) I'll never forget the first time I went in and left the tampon in & the OB looked at me like I was a complete idiot.. Like how is a wand going in there? *forehead slap*
Anyway, if your office does IF treatments, rest assured they see it all the time!
TTC #1 since August 2011 w/ unexplained IF
09/12-11/13: 3 TIs, 3 IUIs, ICSI/PGS IVF & 2 FETs
08/14: Our little miracle has FINALLY arrived - 3 years after we started trying!

Haha, no! I actually asked about it right as I was putting my legs in the stirrups. He stood up without looking & snapped at the nurse for not "prepping" me! From that point on, the nurses always reminded me to remove it. I'm not sure if I had a nurse that didn't follow protocol the first time, or, if they flagged me to always get a reminder! lol
