Is anyone else so exhausted they don't even feel like they can function? I'm 6weeks 2days today and have already had all bloodwork, seen and heard the heartbeat etc...but this exhaustion is unreal! Am I alone?!
You are fortunate to have already had those things done as most have to wait til 8 weeks:) maybe think of that precious heartbeat for some extra energy:) other than that, I think it just part of it. I have been having to nap after work lately, but rest is good:) hope it gets better!
Thanks, ladies. It was so amazing to hear the heart of my little rainbow baby after two losses. I'm high risk with Crohn's disease too so I'm sure that adds to my exhaustion. Thanks for your encouragement.
I've felt completely drained today! It's awful. I've read exercise and healthy food will help but it's impossible to do those things when you're falling asleep standing up! Lol
i am not nearly as exhausted this time around. but I think my body just knows I have a 3 year old at home that I have to deal with.
Last time, my work hours were 11 - 7. I would literally get home, and be in bed by 8. Sleep till 10 and go to work. I did that for like 2 months. This time, I do not have the luxury
You are definitely not alone. I'm 6 weeks 2 days and can't keep my eyes open! Lucky you to to have heard the heartbeat already. I can't wait to hear that!!
Dude. The struggle is real. I am dying. I could have gone to bed already but I have to take a shower so I am procrastinating. I am with @PenguinMG ; I had no idea I could be this tired.

I'm exhausted, too. I have a 13.5m old that I need to take care of, plus I work 7-19, so I definetly feel the exhaustion more this time around. I don't remember ever being this tired... The first time around I napped whenever I wanted... I miss that!
I can sympathsize with some of y'all that have little ones at home to take care of after work. I'm a FTM so it's just me and hubby to worry about right now. For my exhaustion, I'm drinking lots of liquids and run/walk 3miles 3-4x/wk and do light weight lifting 3x a week for 20min. It's even helping with my bloat!
Yup. I came home last night and all my poor 2.5yr old wanted to do was have some mommy time. However, mommy couldn't keep her eyes open and had to have a nap right after dinner so that I'd have enough energy to get DD and I ready for bed.
Last week I couldn't even function. I had to keep myself up after work until at least the sun went down!! The struggle is soooo real. I wish I could nap at work! Being that exhausted gives me terrible headaches too. I'm 7 weeks today and the the exhaustion has let up a teeny tiny bit, but I'm still in bed by 9. For those of you with LO I applaud the heck out of you!! I don't know how you do it.
I'd like to attribute my exhaustion to lack of caffeine since I cut it out after my BFP. Going through serious withdrawal!!! I'm an elementary art teacher K-5 so at least during the day they don't give me the chance to get tired! It's like cat wrangling.
I'm only 4 weeks and 2 days so I feel like it's too soon for me to experience the exhaustion, but then again this is my first so I really don't know anything! Yesterday I just wanted to sleep all day, and I got in bed at 6:45.. It was thundering and wonderful. Today, I just feel like I am fighting my eyes to stay open...
Ive been exhausted too. Im 5 weeks today. And I start a job on monday. (Applied after being a stay at home mom for 4 yrs, having a hard time getting pregnant. Now im pregnant, exhausted with a almost 4yr old AND starting a new job) lol
I'm so glad I'm not alone! Some of your responses made me laugh which I so needed tonight. The struggle is real. The good news is that second trimester we will hopefully ALL feel better and have some energy. I'm sure our husbands are looking forward to that as well!
I am so exhausted as well! I work 9-9 a few days out of the week and it is so not cool right now! I also have Crohn's!
What are you on for your crohns? I'm on remicade and have to go get my first infusion since being prego. Pretty nervous but trusting it'll be okay since it's pregnancy approved and I need it.
Slept for days with #1, nap time and intrupped nights with #2. This time around I'm full time evening shift at work with intrupped nights most times. I'm enforcing naps before I have to go to work most days! Not so much tired just NO energy.
