Wipes

I am tired of running out of wipes between washes so I cut up a cotton receiving blanket . Do I need to do anything to the edges to prevent them from fraying? If so, I'm not very crafty or good at sewing, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can do a zig zag stitch with a sewing machine (it does not have to be perfect to work).

  • If you need up having to make more, I used bamboo fleese. Got it off amazon, I think it was like 16 dollars a yard. I think I got at least 30 8x8 wipes from it. It dosent fray so no need to stitch. They do curl a bit but not enough to cause a problem.

  • They're going to fray badly the first time you wash them. Cut off the tangles and they won't fray too badly after that.

  • If you're a lazy ass like me, fabric stores sell something in the notions dept called fray check. You just squirt it along the edges of the fabric or ribbon and it prevents fraying.
