NEVER MIND ... NWMR: Disney experts?

SORRY! A friend just told me it's one of the worst times ever to go.... so .... back to the Thanksgiving drawing board. :)

Ladies -
Any Disney experts here?  Wondering if it would be totally ridiculous to try and take DS (3.5) to Disneyland for Thanksgiving?  Is it totally overrun because of the holiday weekend?
We don't have a lot of family vacation days to burn (DH is in a semi new job and took 1 week at DD's birth last month) and DS has never been to Disney and would LOVE the Cars Land at California Adventure.
We have just realized that we have NO family coming for Thanksgiving so we can do whatever we want!! :)
$$ is far less an issue than crowds...
Any thoughts?

  • I went over NYE. The parks were awful -- way too crowded. The resorts were nice and didn't seem overly full but who wants to stay at the resort the whole time? I only go at non-peak times.
