Intro and question

Hello ladies! It's kind of surreal that I'm here but here goes. I have an amazing 2 and a half year old son who DH and I conceived on our first shot (I seriously want to build a time machine to ask 3 years ago me how they hell she did that!:-/) we started TTC #2 last August (2013) after a little over a year of trying we decided to starting working with an RE to get the tests done. I'm fine, he's fine. Unexplained secondary infertility. Boo. So yesterday I found out from my blood test I failed on my first IUI. I'm still really upset but trying to be positive. My question is, this is my first cycle with clomid and I'm usually a solid 28 day cycle person and now I'm at day 30 and I don't even really feel aunt flow coming. Has clomid ever messed with anyone's AF? Thanks in advance ladies:-) I hope to not be here long but to help others while I'm here!

Welcome, I'm sorry you're struggling.

We also conceived our first child very easily, no trying at all. And of course hindsight is 20/20, I wish we had tried to conceive another as soon as we have had him really.

Thanks Mara005, I'm with you .I have few regrets in life but one of them is quickly becoming, I wish I would have tried again sooner. I thought getting pregs with #2 would be just as easy as #1. Hindsight is a mofo

Welcome! Sorry you're struggling, IF is a hard road! I took Femara which is similar to clomid and it messed with my cycles but it made them shorter so I dunno. :-/ I hope something happens soon! Will you try another round of IUI?

Thanks! Yup the plan is to try another IUI. I had a pretty nasty cold the weekend I had my first IUI so maybe that was the culprit the first time. I just need my dang period to start now!

Welcome! I'm on my first round of letrazole and had my longest luteal phase yet. I was on it to move my ovulation up and lengthen my luteal phase. So I think it happens but am definitely not an expert.

I don't know from personal experience, but I've heard it can mess with your cycle. Best of luck to you this next cycle!

Hindsight definitely sucks. Welcome to the group. I wish I hadn't been so concerned about my "timeline", but an easy first pregnancy convinced me I had some control. Not so much, bah.

Thanks ladies, I appreciate it. AF came today! Starting clomid again on Friday. So hoping for this cycle to work! If I got preggs this month the baby would be due in July...same bday month as me and DH. Hope there's some good mojo at work there! $:\$ ">
