  DD is a year of the dragon baby, and I remember a bunch of news articles around that time proclaiming how "blessed" these children will be... time will tell, I suppose. I tend to believe that one makes their own fortune, however, not that it's dictated by the zodiac, Chinese or other.

  I totally had to google because that freaked me out and I found this:
  The sign of the Sheep produces a person who is not overly fond of sudden changes or impulsive decisions. Rather, the tend towards the opposite end of the spectrum, finding comfort in both repetition and well-laid plans. Luckily for them, they have a natural inclination towards this type of work and are quite skilled at pulling together actions and events in a manner that flows naturally. Which allows both Sheep and anyone with them to enjoy a smooth and unhindered ride over life's many tiny bumps.

  As much as the Sheep can improve a person's life, however, they are also protective about who they let into their inner circle. Not just anyone can get to know someone born under the sign of the Sheep. Rather, they must prove themselves steadily over time, through kind gestures and loving support, until the Sheep finally see that they are someone who can be trusted. Otherwise people are often left viewing things at a distance, not quite knowing why they feel distant from the Sheep, but feeling it strongly all the same. It is the Sheep's choice then to weigh their two main paths, between a safe lifestyle with few close friends, or a much more social way of life with its own inherent risks.

  I agree that "luck" is silly - definitely not dictated by the Zodiac. Sheep sound like great people, sounds like we'll all have we'll all have quiet, mellow J15 babies  

  
  

  I do think it's interesting because I totally identify with my Chinese sign (snake). And dragon fits DH.

  I'm year of the rabbit
  My husbands the year of the ox
  My firstborns the year of the dragon
  This new baby will be sheep.
  We have a pretty exciting dynamic.

  The sheep sounds like my husband who is actually a goat. So I'm a pig, hubby is a goat and the baby will be a sheep. I guess we are a regular barnyard.

  My DH and I are both Tigers, so this little sheep is gonna have to toughen up
  
  Not gonna lie, I was really hoping for a sheep/goat baby as I have a love for all things goat and want to have a goat farm in the future. Strange, sure, but it makes me happy!

  Ha! I didn't think to consider my sign + DH's + DD's + this baby's. Let's see: a rooster, a dragon and 2 sheep... one of these things is not like the other?

  I'm a rabbit and DH is a dog, so I think a sheep will fit quite nicely with us.

  our baby will be a sheep and a Gemini, which is going to be a crazy mix... I am also a Gemini, so I'm alright with that!

  Apparently I'm a Rabbit, DH is a tiger, DD is a rabbit, DS1 is a dragon, and this one will be a sheep.

  DH is a sheep and he turned out just fabulous. DD and I are both Monkeys (although she's a Gryffindor and I'm a Ravenclaw). I'm looking forward to another Sheep to balance our little family out!

  This post reminds me of my first trip to china. I was there on business and curious about my Chinese zodiac sign. I asked our business partner what year of the rabbit meant and she said, " it means you are nothing special ". Needless to say I've chosen to not take the chinese zodiac too seriously after her comment !!

  I have a lot of friends that are goats/sheep since I am just one year behind that and they are all good people. I'm excited because we don't have any goats in my extended family. My mom is a dragon and is always talking about how she is so much more awesome than the rest of us, lol. I'm a monkey, my husband is a snake and my little boy is a rabbit.

  I agree! I am a rabbit and I don't think of myself "nothing." LOL! But I do know several people born in the "year of the turd."

  Except for those of us having Gemini babies. Those folks are intense! (DH and I are both sappy Cancers).

  
  

  For everyone looking up their Chinese zodiac, remember to take into consideration when the Chinese New Year was the year of your birth. People born in January and into February are sometimes the sign for the previous lunar year. My mom thought she was a monkey (the zodiac animal for 1956), but her birthday is in January and before the new year started, so she was actually born in the Year of the Goat.

  I'm a dragon, DD is a rabbit and DH is a rooster. With all of those farm animals why not add a sheep!
