(Then) A nice dinner, a bottle of wine, maybe a movie - (Now) Watching the History channel and having a contest to see who can suck the boogers out of our kid's nose
Then: getting home from work and, depending on how hard we worked/ how tired we were, either laying on the couch watching TV or going out to our favorite wine bar and splitting a bottle and a cheese plate.
Now: watching college football all day with some friends over, having some drinks (timing them with BFing), and spending a good portion of the day entertaining, feeding, or soothing baby.
Then: We would alternate waking up early with DD. I would often wander around downtown Seattle with DH and DD, shopping or seeing sights. DD would fall asleep in the carrier so we could stay out later than bedtime.
Now: DH and I both are usually up early when DD wakes us all up. DS gets dragged to DD's mommy and me gymnastics class. We usually do errands one weekend day and something fun as a family the other day. We're home by 6:30 to fall into the bedtime routine.
(Then) finish cleaning the house in the morning so we can drink way too much and enjoy a relaxing night out or in. (Now) take turns taking care of Preston so the other person can clean / cook... Watch a movie and the baby monitor after considering the house clean enough.
Then: hanging out with friends, but still getting to bed pretty early
Now: tonight is LOs first overnight stay in a hotel room, we went out for lobster tonight and she slept while we used the hotel jacuzzi (luckily we were the only guests there). In 25 days we leave for Disney, we're still pretty adventurous with the baby.
Then: A wine bar starting around 8 or 9 pm, several glasses of really nice red wine, coming home around 11, maybe curling up for a movie together on the couch after.
Now: A hastily gulped glass of wine in between feedings, gobbling down dinner, half watching TV in the background, and then going right to bed when LO does.
Then: If it was a stay in night - cooking an elaborate meal while drinking beers/wine, watching movies with DH or playing video games, having some major snuggle/play time with dogs. If it was a go out night - having a nice dinner with wine/beers that lasted most of the night.
Now: Take out or a fast foodish eatery, no drinks till pumping is in progress/over, movies/TV on the couch while I or DH hold LO and take turns eating. DH still plays lots of video games. Falling asleep when I can to fit in extra sleep while LO is sleeping.
I am on Fall Break at work. Last year at this time we took DD to Florida and spent 4 days on the beach and at the pool. This year it's pumpkin patchs and trying to get little buddy to nap for more than 10 minutes in his bed.
Then: All day tailgating at our local university with friends and family for the football game and attending the game. Waking up late the next morning and heading to brunch where we start the party all over again with bloody mary's.
Now: Watching the game at home from the comfort of our living room. Eating dinner in shifts and falling asleep before the game is even over.
It's funny you started this thread this weekend bc our local beerfest was on Saturday - it's huge here. Last year DH & I went with a good friend & the 3 of us got pretty well hammered! We met a random (but nice!) stranger who drove us to a bar to after party & DH & I caught a cab home from there while my girlfriend & this guy got better acquainted. I remember starting a U.S.A. chant & other ridiculousness. What a hangover!

TTC #1 since August 2011 w/ unexplained IF
09/12-11/13: 3 TIs, 3 IUIs, ICSI/PGS IVF & 2 FETs
08/14: Our little miracle has FINALLY arrived - 3 years after we started trying!
I was pretty much doing the same thing a year ago but I was definitely getting more sleep. DD is a great sleeper and I miss being able to "sleep in" till 7:30 or 8 on weekends now that ds is here. Its funny how your perspective changes....five years ago I would have thought I was getting up early at 7:30
Then: out to eat and at an AHL or NHL game
Now: attempting to glance at the tv every now and then while feeding/entertaining DD and enjoying a hot meal that has since gone cold
Then: My bachelorette party! It was on October 6th last year, we got married on November 1st.
Now: Family night consisting of a supper and a movie, both of which are interrupted frequently until DD gets put down for the night around 10. By which time DH and I just go to bed, too
Then: Either a game night with our friends and lots of drinks or watching a movie at home with a bottle of wine. But we always went out to dinner first!
Now: Usually take out, cleaning up the house and laundry, then catching up on the DVR before going to bed. Still with wine though :-) Luckily we have a game night planned for November & December so there's something to look forward to!

(Then) A Miami Hurricanes football game. (Now) A Miami Hurricanes football game.

We know how to party.

Now: we actually went to a bonfire party and got tipsy
Now: A hastily gulped glass of wine in between feedings, gobbling down dinner, half watching TV in the background, and then going right to bed when LO does.
I was bitter about this last night
Now: Take out or a fast foodish eatery, no drinks till pumping is in progress/over, movies/TV on the couch while I or DH hold LO and take turns eating. DH still plays lots of video games. Falling asleep when I can to fit in extra sleep while LO is sleeping.

We would also add some sort of house project now...yesterday we installed new high efficiency light bulbs and a new fire/carbon monoxide detector.
Now: not sleepin in, timing dinner with his feedings and reducing how many glasses of wine we can drink. So 1 maybe?
First BFP: 12/16/13
EDD: 08/23/14
Baby BOY born: 08/29/14
Now: just watching the game at home since its 3 hours away. Hoping to get through dinner before LO gets fussy and only having a drink here and there.
Now: exhaustion induced, semi-interrupted sleepy happy hour-ish.
