Hahaha you're busted, DH!

Tonight when DH was out, I hung up laundry on my drying rack, which happens to be in DH's home office (just because that's where there's room for it).  DS came into the room with me, which was exciting for him because he's usally not allowed in that room.  He greeted the cat, who was sleeping on DH's desk chair, then as I was finishing up, I saw hjim starting to eat something.  This is also the room where the cat food and litter reside, so I was instantly worried.  Then I saw  that whatever he was about to eat was brightly coloured. I wondered what weird plastic thing he was about to consume and realised that he had a handful of Skittles!  There was a huge Costco-sized bag of Skittles tucked away on the desk that DS had managed to find.  DH totally bought a big bag of candy and never told me!  I don't mind that much, as I frequently have things in my purse that I don't share with him.  Also, knowing that there is a big bag of candy in the house, now I'm going to want to eat it. I was safer not knowing.

  • Lol! That's awesome. DH seldom brings stuff like that home because he doesn't like it.

    I married a mutant, I think. ;)

  • Ha, that's funny. I'd be a candy/treat-hider, too, if I cohabited with another sweet toothed person.

  • I definitely hide ice cream sometimes.  Then DH will bust me eating it and I'm like "Where did this come from?!"  ;))

  • DH hides all the junk food, at my request. I would eat it when I am home during the day if he didn't.  He will share it if I ask, and he also only hides it in weird kitchen cabinets so I could find it if I looked, and also occasionally find it accidentally.  Overall tho, it is a very good system because DH can have junk food without worrying about it being eaten, I don't get obese eating things I would never buy, and there are snacks when we are both starving.
