I'm reading the fifth book in the wheel of time series by Robert Jordan. I wish the names were more approachable or we would probably name the baby after one of them. Hubby and I are reading the series together at our own pace.

My husband and I met on a WoT fansite, and go to Jordan Con every year. To say we're obsessed with those books is a huge understatement.
And we actually have a couple of friends who named their daughter Aviendha. They call her Avi.
I just started A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness.
I've got Wheel of Time on my list- but my list is about 70 books long. I'm about to pick up Undivided- the fourth book in the Unwind series. It comes out today!!! I don't know anyone who's read these book, and I keep telling people to pick it up. It's a disturbing premise, but very thought provoking. I've also listed a couple of baby books now. I think next will be Bringing up BeBe, and Expecting Better.
I just finished Book 3 of Game of Thrones and taking a little break before opening book 4 MH is not so patiently waiting for me to get through the next two so we can watch season 4. It comes out in February so I have a little time
I've been reading Feast for Crows for the past 10 months. I can't get through it because it's on my Kindle which also has the baby's sleep sounds app on it. I didn't think that one through.

Oh no! Maybe I should start reading it now, haha. I've heard it is a much slower paced book than 3 so I'm less than looking forward to it, but I CAN'T stop now, haha!
I tried reading on my iPad and just couldn't do it, I have to have the real paper in my hands. It might be because iPads are heavy and have that glare on the screen that actual book reader devices do not... but I am very easily distracted as well so that doesn't help either.
@thepancakes I agree. It's probably why I haven't bothered getting a separate sound machine. I'm halfway through the book and they barely addressed any of the main characters and story lines.
@papillon025 if you can make it through, book 5 gets back to the old characters. It's still not as good as the first three in my opinion, but definitely better than 4!

I am reading This Is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper (I want to see the movie because I love Jason Bateman and Tina Fey!) It is ok so far I am only about 15 pages in. Did anyone see the movie??
@wasatchbaby- I really liked Sharp Objects, I am on the waiting list for dark places from the library, I cant wait to read it!
I'm reading the Stonewycke Trilogy (in one book) by Michael Philips and Judith Pella. It's good so far, I'm in the second one. It's a little odd. I was expecting the storyline to stay in Scotland but it's turned into a Western! Quite a twist.

I just read of summary of the Unwind series and I'm so intrigued! I might have to check that out.
Currently reading 7 by Jen Hatmaker. If anyone is struggling with excess (stress, material items, consumerism, etc) & looking for a fresh perspective, this book is awesome!
@thepancakes@meg&jarred definitely give dark places a try- very similar writing style (going back and forth in time) but with more characters. The beginning was a little dry, but I loved how the plot thickened and puzzle pieces starting coming together in the book. The "Ben" chapters were my favorite.
Interesting suggestions! I travel a lot by car so I listen to audiobooks.
I just finished Gone Girl and Orange is the New Black. Tried to watch the Netflix series of Orange and just didn't like how different it was from the book.
Can't wait to see Gone Girl. I agree with PP that I loved Gillian Flynn's writing but did not love the book. Couldn't put it down though.
I'm reading If There Be Thorns by V.C. Andrews, the 3rd book in the Flowers in the Attic series. Definitely want to check out Unwind! I had never heard of it until reading this thread. Thanks to whoever started it I have some great suggestions for reading material now.
Dragonfly in Amber. It is taking forever for me to get through. I'm not really into it like I was with Outlander.
Okay, dragonfly is almost painful to get through. It's boring almost the entire time. The third book is much better. I was a good chunk of the way through the third when I accidentally left it in a trip. I need to go pick up a new one or find a new book. I loved outlander.

Belly Laughs :-) Started it last night and will probably finish tonight. It's a cute and easy read!
Next I plan to read Gone Girl. Just saw the movie on Friday so I'm looking forward to seeing how they compare.
