PgAL scared for anatomy scan

To my fellow PgAL ladies..did anyone else go into their anatomy scans with a fear of bad news? I've found out by u/s for 2 of my previous losses so I always have anxiety when it comes to any kind of scans/check ups. This pregnancy has already had 2 threatened miscarriages but both with a good outcome but I'm having trouble shaking the anxiety for my anatomy scan tomorrow. I have an anterior placenta so feeling movement is far and few between and catching the heartbeat in office always is a challenge (I don't have a Doppler at home and think with the anterior placenta it would scare me too much if I couldn't find the hb). I try to think positive but after multiple losses, I feel like a stress case before each test/scan/check up. Anyone else like this after loss? How do you manage?

    Definitely feel the exact same and i also went through discovering a loss at my a/s. I also have an anterior placenta so I'm right there with you! My a/s isn't until the end of the month...i get nervous and scared but i try to stay positive and focussed on this baby being healthy. I know ultimately I am doing everything i can for this baby and i love him/her so much that i hope its enough. Good luck tomorrow!!!

    It's really hard. I'm a mess for every ultrasound. And I have had a ton of them! (9 as of today)

    I could have written that myself, down to losses, anterior placenta, and stressing before appts! Good luck tomorrow, keep us posted! Everything will be great!

    Best of luck to you! I haven't experienced a loss and don't know yet where the placenta attached, but my scan is on Wed and I'm very nervous also. Big props to you for enduring the added stress of your situation, and hopefully tomorrow brings nothing but good news.

    @khansil5‌ I have my anatomy scan today as well, and even with no prior history of losses I'm worried as well. I haven't felt much movement, but at 18 weeks... I was just assuming that will be coming in the next couple of weeks! Think positive thoughts lovely lady ;)

    I have PGAL brain as well and this afternoon is my scan. I'm nervous that they are going to see something wrong as well :-/
    Try not to stress, it's not good for you or the baby. What's going to happen is going to happen, what's meant to be is meant to be.
    But I'm the same way, sometimes I like to think that there could be something wrong to be pleasantly surprised. I like to be surprised than disappointed

    Yes i have pgal brain you which is specifically why i got a doppler. I would really really suggest getting one i swear it was the best money i have spent thus far. I'm pretty sure my sanity would not be in tact still without it lol. Is there anything stopping u from getting one? Price maybe? I got mine for 50$ on eBay. I got the Sonoline B and it works absolutely wonderfully. Hope everything goes well I don't have mine till the 29th so I am still stressing about the results but i do know the little heart is still beating :)

    My anatomy scan isn't for a week and a half, but I already know I'm going to be nervous. I think it's very common, especially for those who are PgAL. Lots of positive vibes that you'll have a perfect anatomy scan! Best wishes!

    Great news! I haven't had a loss but had a tough first pregnancy & many ultrasounds to make sure my little guy was ok. So this time I was a nervous wreck before my first ultrasound that they would find something & everything was fine. I think we all worry most of the time, it's what makes us mommys:)

    Ugh that is such great news im so glad for everyone who gets good news and is progressing. For me i just feel nothing ever goes right for me or works out so naturally that is what is stuck in my mind. I still have 14 freaking days till my a/s I wanna know the sex sooo bad I can't wait lol congrats on your baby boy!!!!

    Thank you. I have had one 6 week loss so i am well over my mile stone now at 18 weeks. I'm hoping that it was just something like the baby wasn't developing right that early and hope it had nothing to do with my reproductive abilities. They never told me the first time what caused it cuz I miscarried at home and had no D&C. All blood tests so far have been normal just waiting for a/s now. Im just so damn excited for this baby you know how that is so I'm keeping my spirits up! But it's in God's hands now and i know that :-) Thoughts and Prayers for your Little One and the one you already have. Everything will work out just the way that it is supposed to!!
