I'm 11 weeks and 1 day and have my 12 week appt next Wed. I feel like its so long to wait since the 8 week appt. At the last appt, we saw the heartbeat pulsating but couldn't hear it. I haven't had too many symptoms in the last few weeks, so obviously I start to wonder if everything is ok. Anyone else feeling this way?
Re: Who thinks its too long to wait 4 weeks for each Dr appt?

BFP#2: 8/23/14 ~ EDD: 5/3/15
Just being AMA isn't necessarily considered high risk to constitute biweekly or weekly appts in the beginning. If everything is going smoothly then they don't want to see you.
I have weekly appts that started at 4 weeks. So far I've had 4 ultrasounds and I'm 7 weeks. I'm going in today for another. It also cost me $25,000 to get pregnant and I'm spending approx $300-$400 a week to stay pregnant. The only reason I'm staying pregnant is because I'm injecting progesterone in my ass every morning and I have estrogen stickers all over my abdomin. I think I'll graduate from my RE hopefully next week but I'll see my OB the following week. Once I reach my second trimester I'll hopefully be treated as a normal 40yr old pregnant person.
Yes it's nice to see my baby every week, but honestly I'd love to just be one of those "normal" pregnant people that their Dr says everything is fine come back in 4 weeks.

Other than the cost, I just plain don't like having to go. I wish I could have a midwife come to my home. I trust my body to do what it needs to do. I was more nervous the first time but this time I know what to expect and am more calm. Maybe that is the difference. They can't do anything now but ease your mind. Worry is something that never goes away and once baby is born we can't be pacified by a doctor. It's a whole different set of things to worry about.
Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12
Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

But I'm fine with appointments every four weeks, especially since my initial wait felt sooooo long. I found out I was pregnant as early as you possibly could and then the doctor's office doesn't schedule first appointments until you're at least 8 weeks. So to me 4 weeks vs. a month and a half is nothing.
But maybe I'm just a stick in the mud and this pregnancy isn't as exciting or fun as my last one and I'm too tired for life.
