Baby betting

Hey all,

I was thinking, is there any practical way, or interest for that matter in placing bragging rights only bets on our up and coming offspring? Categories I can think of include, heaviest baby, tallest baby, last to arrive, most hair, shortest labor (lordy do I hope I get that one...), babies born on due dates and so on. I wouldn't want to do littlest, or earliest because that kind of stuff is scary, and I would like this to be fun.

What do you guys think? Fun and or feasible?

Maybe instead of betting, more like superlatives. We could come up with the categories now. Sounds fun!

My uncle was 13 lbs when he was born, and I think it was a vaginal birth - my vag hurts just thinking about that. I'm curious about heaviest baby.

Haha that's one that NO one will want, but at least it's a decent consolation prize / badge of pride.

I suggest awards for Shortest & Longest Labor.

Still trying to come up with a way to include the C-section mamas with this, too.

For a form, spreadsheet, here is a very rough draft of what I am thinking. I can add some formulas to the spreadsheet so we can have a running tally of our categories once they are figured out. Suggestions and critiques welcomed -

I thought about adding number of stitches, but don't nobody wanna think about that.

Haha, my girl would have won that last time! Her cone-head was epic! I just posted in another thread that because they measured her with the cone head at birth she lost two inches by her first well check. My mom had always said how c-section babies have such "pretty" heads, guess not after 12 hours of labor!

I like the "most hair" award too but not sure how we'd decide other than a vote on pictures.

DS would have been last in line for that one, and he was even delivered vaginally. he had his chin down in his chest so he came out back-of-the-head-first, rather than crown, so his head never deformed. it sure as hell hurt though. haha
