  • Good luck this week @matthew930! Keeping on track while traveling can be tough! Maybe the hotel has a pool you can swim in in addition to a hopefully decent gym?

    @msuducks - have a great time at the wedding! Same goes for you, check out the hotel's swimming pool!

    I haven't checked in for a few weeks, but I have been keeping up my healthy ways!

    My last check-in was 9/16 and my weight then was 163 and I was working toward my next mini-goal of 160.  Today I am at 157.4 and working towards yet another mini-goal!  More yarn is in my future if I can just keep with it!  I have had some cheat days here and there, but overall am sticking with it. 

    I got stuck at 159 for a combination of reasons (see: cheat days), but had a breakthrough so that's a plus! My soft goal is to be under 150 by Thanksgiving and I'm really hoping to get there.  That will put me that much closer to my PP weight of 145 and my goal weight of 140.

    I am continuing to track my calories with MFP and have a daily allotment of 1850 that I work within.  I have consistently been staying within my calories each day (usually end up around 1750) and never eat back my exercise calories.

    For exercise, I do 20 minutes of vigorous cardio everyday, usually the elliptical now that Wes has settled into a morning nap routine.  I follow that with some strength/interval work.  I am a mad person and decided to to three 30 day challenges at once (arms, legs & abs, and little black dress).  It's kicking my ass, but not nearly as much as it was at the beginning of the month.  Tomorrow includes burpees which are just soul numbing, hahaha.

    This week's goal:
    Continue eating with my calorie allotment and allow myself a sweet treat everyday
    Workout everyday - cardio and interval work
    Meet my step goal of 10,200

  • I got more of a workout this morning than I was expecting to.

    I took DS for a walk to go do some errands (we live pretty close to a bunch of stores) and it wasn't supposed to rain until this afternoon.. well Florida sucks for accurate weather! lol

    Halfway through shopping and the sky is BLACK, awesome  #-o sooo.. a race home to beat the rain it was. Man was I out of breath!

    Beat the rain though ;)

  • I've been doing well food wise, but bombing on the activity side of things. I did take the kids to the zoo, so we walked around there. :P

    I've lost 6 lbs in the last 3 weeks, which is a little faster than I planned. I'm taking DS to weigh him tomorrow to see if his weight gain is stable. If not, I'll up my food intake. Still 30 lbs to go to pre pregnancy weight, ugh.

  • Well fuck, DS isn't gaining like he should. I don't know if it is as a result of my eating less as he isn't emptying me and is just not that into eating. I'm going to speak to a nurse tomorrow and see if she can get me into a lactation consultant/nutritionist to make sure I am eating enough. Sigh...it seems I am just not cut out to lose weight while nursing.

  • hey there - I haven't been on TB forums as much since DS was born, but have been lurking a bit.  This thread seems super helpful and I would love to join in. 

    I am absolutely petrified of the scale and haven't been on it in a few weeks! The last few times I went on it (about every 2 weeks since birth) it kept creeping up!  I know I have to get back on it to see the damage (seriously if it just stops going up I'd be happy).  I've just started Beachbody's PiYo DVD's and am enjoying those, and would love to get back into P90X and Insanity once I finish the PiYo. 

    I had gotten into really good shape pre-pregnancy and I still find myself having a pity party when I look at old Facebook photos.  Gotta snap out of it!

  • So last week I was just asking about starting to track. I think next week I'll be in full swing and ready to track and get some workouts in. This week I have focused on setting a meal plan and sticking to it and getting at least two walks in with DS in the stroller or wearing him in a carrier. I think I'll meet these goals but will check in next week and set some more.

    I like reading about everyone's progress! I'm back to pre - pregnancy weight but I had gained about 40 pounds prior to getting pregnant. So there's a long road ahead.
  • you girls are awesome! I seriously applaud you for sticking to it and meeting your goals.

    I haven't been super active in this thread but I'm giving up until I'm done breast feeding. I'll still eat healthy and exercise because it's good for me. My only real goal was to fit back into my pre pregnancy jeans and that is just not going to happen without more actual calorie restriction. Trying to do this without dropping the calories is impossible and putting me mentally in a terrible place.

    Good luck ladies! I think it's awesome how supportive you all are of each other and how hard each of you work!
