  • Alva baby diapers are inexpensive and we love them! Though some people hate then. The delivery takes a while (about 3 weeks) but it's worth it.
  • I'm a Bum Genius lover. They work great on my little man. They often do a pretty decent Black Friday sale, and occasionally do seconds sales.

We do use Alva Baby color snap diapers for day care and i really like them especially considering how cheap they are.  If you order over $50 they generally ship much quicker.
    Their bamboo blend inserts rock!
  • If you are wanting the best deal, definitely wait until Black Friday. My favorite site to buy cloth diapers is Nicki's Diapers. The people over on the cloth diapering board are great, you should head on over!
  • I'm old fashioned. Prefold, closed with a snappy (not old but so much better than safety pins) and cover with a waterproof cover. You can buy the prefolds and water proof covers anywhere inexpensively and you can order the snappy.
  • I love my alva diapers. I bought them all from amazon and they're ridiculously cheap (but not cheap quality) as far as cloth diapers are concerned. They usually come with microfiber inserts but I prefer my hemp inserts.

  • If you want to do prefolds, Bummis does a starter kit. I Buy mostly from the happy baby company, but some from amazon. Highly suggest finding a local cloth diaper store that does orientations or will guide you. I know HBC will answer questions by email.
  • I'm a fan of Charlie banana. You can buy them directly, or through target or Amazon.

  • The cloth diapering board has a lot of advice and if someone finds a sale they will post it. FTM here and I've slowly been ordering, I must say bumgenius are my favorite so far but I plan on trying a few. Also I found a cloth diapering consultant in my area, I plan to meet with her soon and she goes over everything(from types, to laundry, to practicing). Maybe there is one in your area?
  • It might be worth looking at a rental service as well.  With my first, I used Modern Cloth's rental once my little was big enough for one-size. It worked well for us because there were a few that totally wouldn't work and some surprises that did. If you want to start from newborn, there are also rentals for that.
