Mrsshawnavanb or anyone else interested

You asked on another thread about getting your tubes tied. I had the Esure procedure done instead, they did it at 8 weeks pp it was in office no cutting and is 99.9% effective. The go in though your vagina and insert a spring type thing in each of your tubes over the new 6 weeks scar tissue firms blocking your tubes. Then you go in for an X-ray where they insert dye in your vagina and X-ray to make sure your tubes are turely blocked. The first part you get some loopy drugs for but we went to Walmart right after there was mild cramping that day but I was fine to bf and watch my three kids 2u2 that night.

Anyway if you have any questions just ask

  • I was thinking about getting this done after I have LO next month. I was going to ask my doctor at my next appt. but do you know which is more effective a vasectomy or this Essure procedure?

  • Bellelamb- thanks for the info! I actually researched this during my last appointment because they had a poster on the wall about it. The thing that concerned me is that I read a lot of reviews about the springs/coils migrating through the body and also about women who had chronic pain after the procedure. I even read that one woman who had to have a full hysterectomy to remove it because she couldn't deal with the pain. My obgyn assured me that she's had many patients decide to have this done and not had any issues. Thanks for sharing your experience!
  • yeah my sil and I both had it with no problems
