If you've had your carpets professionally cleaned, can you recommend a company? Do the carpets coming out basically looking like new? Do you notice a big difference? Do you have to move all the furniture out of the room? After 2 kids and a dog our 7 year old carpet is pretty shot. DH would like to pull it up and finish the hard wood underneath. I know most people like wood floors, but I prefer carpet for the living room, it's homier and cozier to me. We are looking to sell, but probably not for another 5 years, so I'm thinking for now we do what we like, not what a buyer might prefer.
