This isn't about DD2 but about DD1, who's 3.5 years old. Today when I picked her up from preschool, she said proudly, "Mama, there's a bead in my nose!"
:-S
This is the second time it's happened in the last month, and both times her preschool teacher grabbed tweezers and got it out, but said that if she couldn't we'd have to take DD1 to the doctor or hospital. Both DH and I have tried to tell her how important it is that NOTHING belongs in her nose ("Except boogers," as she so elegantly puts it.), but it doesn't really seem to be sinking in.
Any ideas for what we can do? I told her if she keeps doing it, we'll have to take away all the small things (beads, Legos) at home, but she didn't seem impressed.

Re: Sticking things in noses
LOL because my mom and I just had a conversation about how I used to do this!
We had several trips to the ER due to random things being shoved up there.
The next day DD1 once again stuck a bead up her nose, and her preschool teacher said when she came with the tweezers, DD1 just tilted her head back and smiled. What the heck, kid? So the teacher had a serious talk with her about needing to go to the hospital for it (while trying not to scare her too badly) and said she thought she finally understood. For the last 2 days, at pick-up time DD1 has proudly told me, "Mama, guess what! I DIDN'T stick anything in my nose today!" And she gets a big hurrah from me. Oh my. This is what I've come to. Cheering when my child doesn't stick something up her nose...
