Anyone else still not have their period?

DD2 changed her latch last week and I had bloody, raw, torn-up nipples. It was awful and I thought I was getting thrush for the first time over five years of nursing. We decided we had to night wean her and we're now five days in. It's going well, but I'm wondering if that means I'm going to get my dreaded period back soon.

I've enjoyed the break and am not ready for it to return, although I must admit, I have serious baby fever. Even my boys have been telling me for a while now that they want another baby in the house because DD2 is too big. I guess that will be the upside to getting my period back.

I kind of hate you @wifeofadam‌. And I'm so jealous! Not only did I have 10 periods since we had our February babies together, but I've had ANOTHER baby AND MY FIRST PP PERIOD A SECOND TIME!!!!

I also have had two now. Neither was very bad and the first one back was really short and light (which was nice cuz I was dreading it).

Still no period here! And nursing round the clock. I'd love to night wean. I just...still want it to happen magically.

It took bleeding nipples for it to happen here. Honestly, I think that's the only thing that could have motivated me. I really do miss my nightly snuggles, but my nipples are healing and I slept last night for the first time in 19 months.

I feel you. I feel this way about so many parenting things.

That was what I said about potty training DD1. And it DID magically happen. One day (at 3y4m) she came to me and said she was done with diapers. She pretty much trained herself. She continued to have poop accidents for a few more months, but it was the easiest way to train a child. I'm convinced that if you wait long enough, things magically work out.

I'm also on the hoping it will magically happen. DD still nurses 1-2 times a night and 3-4 during the day. Lately she has been killing my left nipple. Not sure why though. However, I've had my period for almost a year

To answer the original question, my first postpartum period was on the day of LOs 11-month birthday.

And to add to the sidebar conversation, we also still nurse round the clock. I think night weaning might be something I'm interested in. Maybe. Add me to the club of mamas who wish it would magically happen too.

I'm broken, I nursed constantly for 6 months, literally, the kid would maybe stop for 5mins and then back at it. I had my first pp period 3 months after he was born. I had never been away from him, he never had a bottle, and I let him nurse constantly. With all of my sleepless nights and never having 10 minutes without him touching me, I thought I deserved at least 6 months period free

Thanks to pregnancy and breastfeeding, I've only had one PP period in over 4.5 years and that was before DD.

My daughter night weaned herself about 5 months ago and it still took several months after that for my cycle to pick up.

I weaned at 16 months, I have had two periods since then, never while I BF. I totally skipped last month and I was feverishly POAS but not preggers (outcome I want!) I hope I regulate soon just so I can not panic monthly
