  • I believe my parents bought that for my niece to wear. I think it's adorable.

  • I think it's totally adorable but I take it from your pole choices that it's not your style?

I live in New England and I am often charmed by Cracker Barrel clothes. Maybe in like an annoying ironic hipster way. My son had a rodeo themed sleep and play from there that I enjoy.

It's costumy and not what I would pick personally. I don't hate it, but poll-wise the options to mask any hesitation on my part are greater.

  • I thought Cracker Barrel was a restaurant?

Yes, a restaurant with a giant gift shop.

  • Well, it's not as bad as the ribbon appliqué candy cane Christmas dress she picked out last year that I vetoed because I already had a darling tartan plaid dress lined up. So I'm inclined to throw her a bone...yet she paid full price ($26) for this and did I mention the button detail on the back? So. Many. Buttons.

  • I think it's adorable and voted as such.  However, if you hate it, I'd probably go with getting a picture and then changing.  After all, you wouldn't want her to get food all over it.

Actually this is what we'd call an eatin' dress. Roomy in the middle and hides food stains well.

  • I don't think its so bad. Not my over all style. But it's only a small time she can pull this look off. Sometimes "cutesy" is ok.

  • My MIL buys holiday outfits for my kids all the time and they are so cheesy. I usually snap a pic and then remove.
  • I love it and would dress DD in it with some tights. But, like someone else mentioned, it's a Southern thing. If you don't like it, just take a picture and change her. No hurt feels and you still get to dress her how you want.

  • I think it's adorable, but I'm in the south and love smocking too, so there's that.

P will be rocking a smocked dress with Pumpkins on it for Thanksgiving, I kind of love "themed" outfits.

  • I think it's adorable.

But I've been debating if I can still dress up my 5 year old in a themed outfit or not.

Sure! They're not too old for them until like 6 or so, IMO.

I think it's adorable and I'd totally put DD in it.  Full disclosure:  I'm putting my  6 month old DD in this for T-day (minus the hair bow), so my judgement may not be the best...

I like this, minus the hair bow (as you are doing it). They're little kids! They can wear cutesy stuff!

  • The cutes have it. I told MIL we'll keep the dress. I'll throw a cardigan over it and call it good. ;)

  • I don't like it. I saw this when I was there a few weeks ago and it made me giggle.
  • I think the dress is cute. I get bothered by my MIL buying all the special outfits for holidays and EXPECTING that I use them (even when they are ugly or nms). She lives next door so it is hard to fake it, and (I feel ungrateful even thinking this, but...) I would like to be able to pick some of these special outfits out myself. For example, she bought herself and my DD matching Christmas dresses for her first Christmas. It feels like she is over stepping there. I think outfits that can be worn at anytime that holiday season are a much nicer gesture, because it takes some pressure off the mom. You can use it on the holiday if you want, or just on other days leading up to it. You could always use the dress on other days in November (make sure you have photo evidence that she wore it! lol) and choose something different for the actual holiday.
