Mucus plug?

Anybody have experience with seeing theirs or know how to describe it? Had my cervix checked yesterday and this morning I may have seen my mucus plug?? Never saw it with DS#1

Exactly - big blob of snot. Could be tinged with blood. How far along are you? It can regenerate if you only lost part of it.

36+5. Huge long snot glob that was brown bloody. Had a lot of bloody show yesterday after midwife checked me. Wondered if that loosened it up...

Losing your mucous plug doesn't mean much. It could mean labor is near but oftentimes it's just something that happens towards the end of pregnancy, sometimes even earlier. It literally looks like a huge ball of snot or a jelly like glob. I wouldn't worry about it.

Eta: someone correct me if I'm wrong but I always thought bloody show and mucous plug meant the same thing (like, if someone said they had their bloody show it meant they lost their plug.)

With my first pregnancy, during the 3rd trimester there was a few times that I thought my mucus plug was coming out. I'd get excited about it....but no. After I ended up being induced at 41 weeks, my mucus plug came out...it was revolting and there's no mistaking it. It's A LOT of mucus with blood in it. I threw my underwear in the garbage, there was no saving them lol.
