I did The Paleo diet for a bit, as well as cutting caffeine/ alcohol for extended periods of time. I am currently doing Weight Watchers to lose some LBs. I love it, such a great program.
Me-33 DH-36.
Married 11/10 TTC 11/10
06/11- diagnosed with PCOS
7/11- D&C and benched for a year
9/12-4/13-6 rounds of 50 mg Clomid- no sucess
6/13- new doc
7/13-4/14- 6 more rounds of Clomid. 50 mg and then stepped up to 100mg- no success
5/14-7/14- took break waiting for new insurance
7/14-new insurance= new doc- actually a RE!!!!
7/14-HSG and blood test good-PCOS confirmed by new doc
I alreay eat gluten free (serious body reactions if I eat even a crumb) but trying to be more anti inflammatory which means minimizing alcohol caffeine night shades (tomatoes potatoes peppers eggplants). I'm on some extra DHEA and prognenalone drops to regulate my low levels of hormones and high cortisol. My R tube is blocked likely endo so trying to heal w/o surgery a couple months. I also stay away from pineapple for the follicular phase. I am drinking a lot of water.
TTC#1 since Aug 2013, I'm 37, DH 41.
Maya Arvigo Abdominal massage (daily self care), plus TTC meditations.
I'm very sensitive to diet (gluten, avoid processed foods) and environment. Have a history of inflammation and tendinitis before going off gluten in 2009.
July 2014 - RE Visit #1: Eggs look good, Endometrioma on R ovary, HSG showed blocked R tube close to ovary. DH SA normal
DX: Endometriosis probably the IF cause and gunking up tubes. Since egg reserve is high, RE says I can wait a couple months and then get laproscopic surgery to remove endo & clear tube. If that doesn't help then move to IVF.
Dec 2014 - Saw new RE - does not recommend surgery on tube as it isn't likely to help. Doubts I have endometriosis. My endometrioma shrunk to neglible size (yay!)
I Limit alcohol and caffeine, also just trying to eat healthy in general, no fast food. Starting Injections for IVF this week and I am cutting out alcohol and caffeine completely. Also, I drink tons of water. Like Rainbowbridge said, you might want to post an intro.
TTC #1
Me: AMA, DH: MFI
Official DX - MFI due to Hemochromatosis
IVF #1 Nov. 2014 - ER 11/10 (10R 6M 6F) - ET 11/13
I drink nothing but water all day, every day. I also am a firm believer in organic food as much as possible. I do not go out to eat very often and cook all of my husband and my meals. I know this isn't possible for most people but I only work part time and am finishing my last semester of college full time. So I try to cook as much as possible. I also take prenatals, fish oil, calcium, and vitamin D. I am sure everyone has different opinions of vitamins but mine are all approved by my doctors and feel it is essential for me to take them. Exercise is also very important.. I work out at least three times a week- light weights and light cardio ( I just had a hip replacement on 8/5/2014). I think everyone is different but these things have really helped me personally. Even if all it does is make me feel better about myself and knowing that I am as healthy as I can be.
Married: 12/15/2012 TTC: 08/2014 Husband: 26 SA: normal Me: 23 Low AMH and damaged ovaries due to chemotherapy. No AF or O in 3 years. HSG showed a slight T shaped uterus.
High Risk OB 9/29- got the ok to get pregnant. RE Appt: 10/28/ U/S showed follicles, but also small damaged ovaries. B/W results CD0: all normal except low AMH at 1.3 Cycle 1-November (TI)- Femera 2.5mg, 2mg Estradoil, and Trigger=BFN Cycle 2-December (TI)- Femera 2.5 mg ,4mg Estradoil, and Trigger= No O Cycle 3-January (TI)- Femera 5 mg, 2mg Estradoil, and Trigger=
I also eat mostly organic and try to exercise. But a healthy lifestyle =/= fertility. Keto and paleo diets may help a little (some people think vegan does, too), but ultimately the women on this board have moved on to medical treatments. If you haven't been trying over a year, or aren't seeking IF treatments, TTGP may be a better board for you. I don't know your posting history, but it sounds like a couple ladies seem to, so please post an intro if you plan on staying here.

I have cut back on caffeine and alcohol, but in truth, I really did most of my experimenting with fertility related diet (green tea, pom juice, pineapple core etc...) during the first year. Now I'm popping clomid.

"You pierce my soul. I am half agony, half hope. For you alone I think and plan."
I am already vegetarian and also cannot have milk, so it's easy to skip both meat and dairy. To TTC, I have been trying anything else that I can: I have avoided soy and green peas like the plague, cut back on the caffeine (just one cup of green tea, if anything, daily), and generally avoided alcohol. Recently I have also tried to cut back on sugars and refined carbs, add more protein, and drink a ton of water.
