In between diaper sizes

Hey all - LO is 8 weeks and now weighs 11 lbs 3 oz. We were using pampers swaddlers in the newborn size, but they started to get a bit tight, so I cracked open the box of Huggies snugglers in size 1 that I had from the baby shower. Those suckers are a bit too big! I'm not sure what brand or size to try in the meantime. We were at Target today and I thought about trying a pack of their size one diapers just to see, but then I'm not sure if they'd just end up being the same as the Huggies. Any advice? Thanks!

I feel like Pampers run a bit smaller than Huggies, so maybe try newborn Huggies or Pampers in ones?

Just switching from newborn? Our dd was into size ones by about one month/8.5 pounds (both pampers). She went from the Velcro tabs touching in the middle to just making it closed. Ha ha maybe she gains around her midsection!

Now at 11.5 pounds/10 weeks we're planning to try switching to size 2 when our 1's run out. Seems like there isn't enough room in there anymore to hold her giant bm's.

When you first size up I think they always seem huge. But you want room in there! I feel like they are only too big if they leak or won't stay on.

I find that huggies run a bit bigger than pampers. We are using size 1 pampers swaddlers for my LO who is around 10.5lbs and they fit her great.

Target diapers are actually a little bit bigger than Pampers and Huggies. That being said, my 10.5 week old is 13lb 7oz and in a Target size 2. Like a PP said, the diapersay seem huge at first but if they don't leak, they are fine. A too small diaper won't contain a big BM.

My LO is 6 1/2 weeks. We just started size 2. He is about 11 lbs.

We use target size 2s and he is about 13 lbs now I would guess (10 weeks). I like them much better than Huggies and Pampers, he doesn't blow out in them and they don't smell weird. Plus they are about 1/2 the price, can't beat that!
