I don't post much or start threads often, but watching my LO eat mandarin oranges (from a can) this morning made me think. Plus, I am sure many are having food struggles and maybe this could help?
So what's the unusual or surprising food your LO likes?
I'm surprised my LO likes broccoli. I sauté it with lots of garlic so I was surprised she liked the strong flavor. She pretty much likes everything and is the total opposite of my 2 year old who eats practically nothing. !
She loves cottage cheese!! Beans in tomato sauce, and spring mix with salad dressing on it. She is a big meat and fish lover. She can be a bit picky with veggies but she will eat anything if it's in tomato sauce
Mandarin oranges here as well! Gobbles them right up. I will only give them to her once a day or every other day until the can is gone. Then take a break from them for a week or so. She eats about 10 slices of them at a time (probably would eat more but I cut her off ) @VitaLuna I haven't noticed any diaper rashes because of the canned mandarins, we haven't tried fresh yet.
She loved the garlic flavored bagel chips! I broke her off some of mine and she wouldn't stop coming back for more.
She also loves mandarin oranges and I give the individual packages of them once a day.
Strangely enough she also loves granola bars. I give her small pieces of mine, the organic fruit and nut brand from Costco. 5 seed breakfast bars from trader Joe's are a big hit also.

Sautéed Celery, I mix in carrots, zucchini, onion and garlic too. He always picks out the celery first. I was also shocked he ate brussel sprouts, I cheated and covered them in cheese.
My little guy loves quesadillas. I've made cheese, avocado, beef, chicken, etc. He likes some mild salsa mixed in with the filling for flavor and dips them in plain greek yogurt.
He also loved a very sharp cheddar cheese DH and I were eating the other day- i was surprised.
Would eat sweet potato "fries"; hummus; and steamed green beans all day if he could.
Oh my word, am I ever a jealous mom! I have a 'limited palate' and DD seems to take after me. She also does not have the best grasp of chewing, She chokes at least once per meal. :-( Definitely following this board!!

For those feeding oranges.. Are you doing fresh or canned? Have you noticed an increase in diaper rash with the acidity? I haven't tried them yet.
