Making the most of the next couple months...

Now that we are all in the third trimester, I was thinking about how I need to make the most of these next 8 weeks. What should I make sure to do that u can get away with in pregnancy that's harder to get away with non pregnant? All I've come up with is going hog wild at an all u can eat buffet. Any suggestions?

  • @littleboyermoose‌ I absolutely agree! DH and have been taking several trips, like one a month. We're loving this one-on-one time we are spending together.
  • I am using up vacation days that I would have to "use" during my leave anyway. Also, as a first time mom I feel like any restaurant that I have said we should eat there some day we should eat there now.
  • @RaeChay‌ I've been wearing tighter shirts in general too bc people are so much nicer too me! I sit a lot a the office and patients like to take their anger out on me. Then, I will stand up and POW everyone does a 5 second stare then makes with the sweet talk. I love it!

RaeChay my husband has been doing the same thing!! His reasoning? "I have to get all my requests in now before I can't make anymore.

I've been making the most out of third trimester by playing all the video games I can. There have been a couple nights where I have passed out at my computer desk because I've been playing games too long. (so basically, an activity I won't be able to do much of once LO arrives)

  • Thanks all for these great suggestions!
@Eora3‌ --yes, I was thinking about how for FTPs these are our last few weeks alone, for a long time. I am taking a trip by myself and I have encouraged DH to do whatever he'd like by himself or with guy friends. I understand time to myself will be a precious commodity very soon:)

If you are a FTM, I encourage you to take as much quiet alone-time as you can. Take baths, read, just soak up all the peace and tranquility that you can. Enjoy unscheduled free time of doing whatever you feel like. After I had my first, I could never fully relax. I feel like part of me is always listening for a child crying even when they aren't in the house.
I couldn't agree more. Even when we are in the house and we know are son isn't there, we turn the TV down so as not to wake him up and I'm constantly listening for him. I don't think I've relaxed since before he was born!
