I'm 14 weeks along. The past few days, I've noticed that when I lay on my back (I think it's always when I'm on my back) I sometimes get a knot in my uterus. I know, weird way to describe it, but I don't know what else to call it! I'll feel my uterus tighten up and when I put my hand on my belly I can actually feel a knot or a bump form, seemingly always on the right side so far. It doesn't really hurt so much as feel like a lot of pressure, and if I rub it gently, the muscle or whatever it is relaxes and smoothes away. Any ideas what this could be? Is it a really early Braxton hicks type contraction? Baby is no where near big enough to push against my tummy that way yet. I'm not really concerned since it doesn't hurt and eases after just a moment, but I'm really curious!
Re: Uterus cramps? Contraction? What?
could be Braxton Hicks.
I've had then earlier and earlier with each pregnancy. They started at 11w this time (16w last time).
I still got to my 39w induction with a giant baby even though the BH started so soon. as long as they don't hurt and don't get too rhythmic - you are good.

She said to gently massage daily as things in there are expanding pretty rapidly right now.
It's the line from your belly button-ish to just below your pelvic bones. Like an upside down V.
Not sure if that explains or helps what you have......
