hi ladies! How are you doing today? Any fun plans for this October weekend?

We have DS's play practice this morning and then it's out to lunch. We are then meeting my SIL and nephew at a pumpkin patch. I love that I'm still so close to them even though they're on my DS's Dads side of the family. It's going to be busy but fun :)

    We took DD shoe shopping and have a bunch of other errands to run. Dinner with ILs tonight (kill me now). Not sure what we'll do tomorrow.

    ILs are visiting this weekend. They arrived this morning a full hour early. >:/
    We might do something Octoberfest-y today or go to the pumpkin patch. Tomorrow we're picking up the last of the plants we need to finish off the front yard. We're converting from lawn to a native, drought-tolerant landscape. I figure ILs can watch DS while we plant.
    Then getting packed for some out of town field work Mon-Tues. Busy weekend!

    The rain canceled our plans. We were supposed to go to DS's soccer game and go to an autumn Fest with friends. We stayed home and cleaned the house. I organized the pantry and my closest. It is such a great feeling to be near again.
    We are going to meet some friends for BBQ in a bit.

    We went to a birthday party at the pumpkin patch. Except it turns out to be next Saturday. Still had the invitation but put it in the wrong spot on our calendar. Fortunately, once we got there, LO immediately forgot the party and was happy to just play.

    Just finished at work. No one died today, so I consider it a good day. :/

    We're going to go to the pumpkin patch tomorrow as long as the rain stays away. So excited! I've been in hiding so much lately that DS keeps saying "Mama big test."

    @Kiwi110‌ Check out your local California Native Plant Society chapter. Most are having fall plant sales right now with native plants that will grow well in the area. If theirs has already passed they could probably still help you out with some contacts for local nurseries that sell native plants. GL and have fun!
