Adding absorbency with prefolds

=My 6 weeks LO is beginning to sleep nearly all night and I need to add absorbency to his night time diapers. I am using small prefolds with thristies covers right now so I am not sure how to add more absorbency. I don't want to bulk him up with another prefold (I doubt it would fit in the cover anyway) but he definetly needs more layers to avoid leaks over night.

    I was thinking of the hemp insert--there is a lot of positive noise about them online, but I wanted to see what you ladies were using.

    At that point we started using a workhorse, then added a GMD hemp insert.

    I don't use workhorses right now. I was thinking of getting the GMD hemp inserts and laying them in the cover so they were under his normal prefold diaper. Do you think that would work?

    Yep that would work. That's what we do. The only thing you have to be careful of is adding too much bulk so you cause the cover to gap around the legs.
