Waiting in the lab waiting room for the next hour til they call me in for my second 1-hr glucose test. The room is full of people coughing. Super.

----- and while I was waiting, another patient just passed out.. Had open heart surgery one week ago...Because it's a lab, and the urgent care area isn't open yet, I'm the only nurse around. Sometimes I forget how important my job could be to one person. Right place, right time, I guess.

Fucker. Glucose was 161. I knew it would be high! Dammit. Now I have to do the 3-hour test. I really don't want to be compliant with a GD diet. Like, at all. UGH!
