So we are still here. Thanks to the transfusion; her hemoglobin was all the way to 5.4 (and maybe lower by the time the transfusion happened); and the fever breaking in the middle of the night---she is back to her normal, bubbly self.
However, right now her immune system is still at zero. For all the medical people out there, the neutrophils (what compromises the immune system) is 0. It has dropped to zero before, but what is different this time is that the monocytes (which are the cells that show growth) are at 0. So with her immune system being at 0 and absolute no growth yet, we will be here for awhile.
Because of that we are confined to our room. Luckily my parents came up today and brought some new toys. As far as hospital rooms go, we have a fairly large one--with lots of floor space so Reese was able to spread out and play on the floor.
Right now the estimated time frame is over a week. They want the neutrophils to get to about 200 before they even discharge us so we have awhile to go. Doctors are estimating closer to two weeks, maybe even close to 3! (That number scared me---I am hoping it is a week or two. The doctors didn't say 3 weeks but I have heard stories of people in the same position and it was closer to 3).
Here is a picture of Reese taunting me---she knows she is not suppose to cross over the green and blue tiles:
