Trying to Get Pregnant

9DPO, a lot of lower right pain and cramps for about 5 dsys

I am new to this app and to the site, so thank you for reading this and interacting with me! I am currently 9DPO and I am having intense right ovary pains along with cramps all over. My husband and I have been trying for 5 months now and have had 2 false positives. I'm very nervous about what's going on and scared to have another false positive. I tested today and got a negative, but I am still 7 days away from the start of my period. Are these symptoms normal? Could I be pregnant? Any advice/help would be appreciated :) thank you!!

  • Are you sure the pain is from your ovary and what is your version of  "intense pain"?

  • Negative test means not pregnant. I suggest testing in a few days, or just wait until AF is due. It's probably too early to test now.

  • Read the newbie blog, it'll save you a lot of guessing and hoping.

  • I have read the newbie blog, but maybe am missing something. The pain is like a period cramp but 10x worse than I've ever had. And the pain is down by abdomen.

I don't want to jump to conclusions or freak anyone out, but if your cramps are debilitating I would go see a doctor. I had what I thought were the most intense menstrual cramps of my life, turns out my appendix was about to burst.

ETA Only you know your body, if you are just exaggerating then please disregard my opinion.
Or this. Lower right quadrant pain can be appendix. If that's the case I'd get to an ER.
I can't disagree. I had the same pains when I had appendicitis. Felt like cramps/serious gas pains. Might be worth a check.

  • I knew better than to open this. Please stop symptom spotting. You are only 9 DPO.

  • The only sign you ever need to think about is the sign on a pregnancy test. Everything else is irrelevant. I have had every symptom you can imagine, and then some that I definitely did imagine. The sooner you stop analyzing every cramp and twinge, the better.

If you truly read the newbie blog then you would know that testing at 9DPO is very, very early. If you're in that much pain, you should probably go to a doctor. There are a whole host of issues that have nothing to do with pregnancy that you could be dealing with.

Have you tried pooping and/or farting?

This. I had extreme pain where I was keeled over for a long time and it ended up being a block in my intestines. Got some great stool softeners at the ER and felt better after two days.

But lower abdominal pain can be anything, if it's as bad as you say it is, get it checked out.

  • I would love an explanation of what you mean by false positives.
I was also wondering about this...
  • The 2WW can make your brain do crazy things and convince you on just about anything. Wait, test again, and either welcome AF or BFP.

If the pain is more than you can handle, see a Dr.

  • Shoot I thought everyone was pretty tame on this post.
  • And again, I miss a good game of Bingo. Has anyone felt sorry for pets yet? Maybe I still have a chance.

So... I'm switching gears from the stories that are currently being illustrated. The new series has unicorns in it and I'm starting to seriously contemplate making them fart glitter and shit rainbows. The stories are geared toward 7-10 year olds... will this give them too much false hope and provide them an unrealistic view of the world that will forever doom us to an unending circle of "you guise are so mean!"?

Who are you? Is there an admission process to go through to be able to post on this board?
  • I am interested in knowing how the OP is feeling today, and if she ever made it to the ER? @amurphy611, any updates on the intense pain?
