So me and dh have been discussing the fair. He thinks we should skip this year because of enterovirus and all the stomach bugs people are getting. He doesnt want LO's getting sick, especially since Dd's only 8 months. What are y'alls thought? Did y'all go to the fair this year or plan to?

    I haven't gone to the fair yet, but only because it sounds like an ass beating with little bitty kids to me. I do plan to go when they're a little older. For me, the enterovirus or other bugs probably wouldn't be on my radar. My kids are going to bring whatever home from school anyway. Is it really important for you to go? Will your H be miserable the whole time worrying about illness?

    I hate the fair which is why we aren't going. If I wanted to go, I wouldn't let the other stuff stop me.

    We like to go every year. DS went for the first time when he was 7 months so I guess it's the same thing. We just don't want them getting sick. I doubt they would but dh is worried. I guess I will just have to talk to him some more.

    How did I not know you were local to me? Anyway we are not going this year because I always spend way too much and we leave for disney in two weeks. I wouldn't let any sickness stop me.

    Yeah we are 40 minutes north of dallas. I think we are going to be brave and go anyway.

    We went last Sunday and all is well here :). It is crazy expensive though. Probably a one time thing for us.

    We talked about going but the only time we can go is on the weekends now and I am not a fan of crowds at all so I think we are going to pass this year.

    We are still up in the air but if we do go it will be during the week. I would never go on a weekend. Too many people.

    fintin you are probably pretty close to me too!  I live where the DNT ends :-) DH, DD & I went to the fair on Monday.  We had a great time, spent way too much money but didn't let the scare of Ebola or the enterovirus stop us.  I love the fair.  I've taken DD every year since she was 2 & she's always enjoyed it.  I even took her by myself last year & it was a great mommy, daughter time.
