What do we need to discuss?

Okay sounds like a silly one- I'm 15 weeks tomorrow with first baby- first pregnancy.
Watching a show last night, my OH asked me if I was gunna have pain relief during labour- I hadn't really even considered this.
We've discussed names and have a girls name we like a couple of boys ones. We know who we're having as godfather (we share a best friend in our lovely pal Vin) but have no idea who to have as godmother.
What else should we have decided? I don't want to get to 9 months are realise we have totally conflicting opinions on something important!
Thanks in advance ladies (:

Re: What do we need to discuss?

  • The first thing that comes to mind is - where baby will sleep. Bed-sharing vs room-sharing vs in his/her own room?

  • For us, deciding on who would raise lo in the unfortunate case that Dh and both passed away took a ton if discussion. ( unless that's what your godfather is for, but I am thinking that role is still pretty much a title for churches)
  • Yup, what @somerandomchick‌ said. Those first weeks and months after birth are survival and you'll want to think through them in some detail. Thinking through and researching labor helps too because there a lot of potentially big decisions you'll be faced with. It's better to know the pros and cons before hand and to know what you prefer.

Definitely decide about visitors. They can get out of hand and you might just want to sleep and nurse, not entertain.
