Another 1st OB appt. question

So to piggy back off of @ewenner's post, I have my very first OB apt on Nov 4th and I was wondering did your H's come with you to the first appointment?

    MH came along, but his schedule is flexible.  I think he really liked seeing the US.  He was in denial before it.

    MH did not. Couldn't get off of work. He came to the third one at 18 weeks :-S I was ok with that.

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    That actually makes me feel better. I scheduled mine only to go home and find out DH had made plans to be out of town :(. While I wanted him to be there, I was happy with the timing and really didn't want to reschedule. 
    So I'm going alone, and he's promised to be available by phone. Fortunately I'm pretty independent... even though PG has made me annoyingly fragile (emotionally) and clingy :(

    Mine came. It was helpful for him because he had some questions. But they didn't do a whole lot so wouldn't have been that big a deal if he'd missed it.

    This time around MH has been to all of them but one so far. The last 3 pregnancies he came when he could.

    ok great...good to know that some came to the first appointment.  My H is just starting a new job and will be traveling 50% of the time for the next 3 months so it might be tricky but I know he'd want to come if he could.  He's so excited about all this (already talking to the baby) so I know he'll want to come if it's ok for him to!

    My DH did not make it to my appointment today.  He is out of vacation time and has already taken some unpaid time off to interview for new positions, so it just didn't make sense for him to take more unpaid time off.  Hopefully, he will be able to make my next appt in four weeks.
