TTC After a Loss

Healthy-Living Accountability

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are a group of women striving to live healthier lives, whether that means losing weight, gaining weight, sticking to a specific diet, counting calories, avoiding counting calories, starting to exercise, continuing to exercise or anything in between.
We check in on Mondays and follow up with an accountability on Fridays (our favorite post of the week, because we love encouraging each other and celebrating all our successes!).
 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Many of us are using MyFitnessPal to keep track of our eating and our exercise. MFP is a great tool to keep yourself accountable, and because it is set up as a social network site, we can cheer you on there as well as here. If you are using MFP and have not found us yet, let us know so we can friend you!
 So, let's hear it... what worked well this week for you? What didn't?
 If you're new, jump on in - we'd love to have you on this journey with us!
Here's some inspiration for the weekend...
Re: Healthy-Living Accountability
  • True confession time... my eating has SUCKED!  Royally SUCKED!  I'm not happy with myself about this... I leave for vacation (to the beach in Florida) this afternoon and will be back home next weekend... We will be gone over our first loss date anniversary which is probably a good thing.  I plan to do some soul searching while I'm away and figure out a way to get back on track.  Especially if my doctor is going to push me towards IVF, I want to be the healthiest I can be for that... does that make sense?  My workouts have been great and I even had a good workout with my trainer yesterday... I've just been choosing to have cookies and M&Ms for lunch.  Not good.
    THanks for letting me be real.
    Next week's check-ins will be light as I'll be posting from mobile.  THanks in advance for putting up with me :-)
  • @MrsG80inTN‌ have a wonderful vacation!! I know it's hard but try to both step away from ttcal you know? (((Hugs)))
    AFM - I worked out twice this week!! Treadmill for 30 min one day and 30 min on a hill program on the bike another day. Did some arms and abs both days. So a good start. Food is AWFUL. I'm still toying with doing weight watchers again. My fet won't be until December and Id love to lose a little weight before then. My only hesitation is starting a diet right before the stress of injections.
    PgAL welcome
  • @MrsG80inTN *hugs*  I hope you have a great trip!  I totally understand the wanting to the healthiest you you can be.  It's great that your training is going well!!  Don't beat yourself up too much.
    >:D<
    @Km380 Great job on the working out!!
    So....yeah food has sucked this week.  I don't know what happened.  I went to that party at the farm last weekend and carb loaded after because I needed the calories big time.  And then I starting craving massive amounts of carbs every day after that.  So, I know what I need to do.  Step away from the unhealthy carbs for a few days and I wont crave them as much.
    The weather has not been conducive to biking.  We were going to bike to the grocery store today, but it's raining.
    We met in middle school. We got married 15 years later in a February blizzard of 2010.
  • Ugh I did not do good or bad this week. I didn't make it to the gym but I ate pretty healthy. However my Drs appointment today was horrible. The OB who is standing in while mine is out told me I have PCOS (which we already knew) but that I also have Hashimotos and he wants to check for diabetes. Oh and I gained a pound since I was there 6 weeks ago. So I will be trying to hit the gym all next week since I will be in a hotel and it's closer and free.
