RE Scouting

So I decided to start looking for an RE since my insurance will be active Jan 1. We live in a tiiiiiiiny town in southeast Missouri. The closest one I can find is in Memphis. Ugh!! That's at least an hour and a half drive. Will they be able to have me do b/w and u/s and such at a local hospital and send them results so I'm not driving to flipping Memphis every week? Or will I need to go a whole lot? It's always something. Jeez.
Me {29} DH {31} ~ TTC #1 Since August 2009 with PCOS
November 2010 - PCOS DX
2011-2013 Metformin and NTNP
July 2013 - Started 3 rounds of low dose Clomid - No O
September 2014 - Started Pregnitude and Metformin
January 2015 - New insurance

    I guess St. Louis is further than Memphis?

    My last RE considered letting my OB do ultrasounds but that kinda fell though and I didn't push it.

    @curve31 Yes Memphis is about 100 miles closer to me than St. Louis is. and I mapped Memphis and it's a 2 hour drive  :|

    Well good luck finding someone. A lot of us have to travel 2 hours. I used to. Its not fun but its worth it.

    @curve31 I don't mind the drive and being gone...my boss on the other hand may not like it. It's just me and him at the office which means mostly me because he's gone a lot.

    Well hopefully you can work something out where you mostly only go for procedures. After you initial appointments, that may only be once a month.

    I have to make a 1.5 hour drive (one way) to my appointments as well. Good luck!

    I could totally swing once maybe even twice a month. This is all speculation right now, but I'm just shocked there isn't one closer than that.

    Oh you don't live in Indy? A friend of mine lives in Lafayette and is seeing someone there.. If that's closer to you I could ask her who she sees...

    *Sept: IUI #1: 5mg Letrozole + Follistim + Ovidrel + IUI + Progesterone = BFN*
    Possibly Looking at IVF.. RE Suggested DH See a Urologist Before Moving On With Treatments

    I'm pretty much right in the middle of all bigger cities so Lafayette would be about the same drive for me. I used to live in indy so at least I know my way around there. Thank you though!

    @amylev80‌ thank you! I may take you up on the pm offer the closer it gets to happening. I started seeing my obgyn last July and did 3 rounds of clomid, Pap, etc. I'm hoping he will give me a recommendation. He's not the nicest doctor I've ever come across. :|
