I did my first trigger shot last night (Thursday 10-9-14) at 10:00pm and am going in for IUI tomorrow (Saturday 10-11-14) at 9am. Anyway, I have a red, swollen SIMI warm spot when I gave myself the shot in the stomach. Is this normal? Kinda freaked out.
Good news, my follicles were 11mm, 12mm, 15mm & 16mm when I went in on my CD12 and I triggered on CD13- does this sound promising?
Re: Trigger Shot Owie & Follicle Size.
I always got a red bump from the trigger shot, so that's not uncommon! It takes about a week for mine to go away completely, so it's nothing to worry about!
It sounds like you have a couple of good follicles, so good luck!

PAIF/SAIF Welcome!
Hi
,
I hope I can assist with your follicle size question
. Some RE will trigger when the lead follicle reaches 16mm because once you trigger, it will finish the maturation process and will be at least 18mm which is considered mature by many. There' also a chance that the 15mm will make it. However; I doubt the 11 & 12mm contained a mature egg (it does happen but its very very rare).
Good luck for you
