I am just shaking my head he went to care now. Care now! For Ebola! Of course, they send you home from the ER with it...so there's that.
But, honestly I was just telling my parents I would have been shocked if no one else got it. I don't think it is an epidemic here or easy to catch, but the whole thing was handled so poorly and then with the family disregarding the quarantine order at first...it just would have been a miracle to keep it contained to just him.
I will honestly be keeping my distance and washing as best I can when traveling. I want to know how long the virus lives on surfaces after the sweat has evaporated. It gives me the yucks, I'm not an alarmist, but if I'm honest, this does have me on edge.
Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!
The people here in Frisco are losing their damn minds. My Facebook is completely flooded with news reports. I'm still betting its a wacko attention seeker until I hear different on the news tonight.

Mine too. It is killing me. It could be the freaking stomach flu. Although the fact that he is a sheriff and went to care now is killing me. Killing me.
Even if he doesn't have it, who goes to urgent care for ebola-like symptoms. It is terrifying that this level of stupid is trusted to protect and serve.
I Can't with people's ebola stupidity today. My local NBc affiliate posted about the man that died this morning and comments include "ISIS infectd him and brought him to America to get ebola on our soil!!!!!!" And "Obama ordered 1 billion disposabl coffins to be spread around the country for all the people who are going to die" and "the government put him in isolation and then let him die to send he message that you can't come here with ebola to get treatment."

My dad is legit worried about ISIS doing that. I couldn't roll my eyes hard enough.
I really don't get how people don't understand how this works. A man just died of ebola. For at least a week there will be breaking news of possible ebola patients being isolated. Newsflash: they don't really have ebola
my coworker actually said she is terrified because you can get it just standing next to someone with it!!!
it's amazing how uneducated people are on it.
My neighbor told me over the weekend that he is getting the Ebola vaccine. I asked him if he meant the flu shot. His exact words were "No the Ebola Virus shot, that stuff is gonna spread like wild fire." I just sat and blankly stared. There are no words for his stupidity.
ANGELS ARE GIVEN WINGS AND TAKEN BACK TOO SOON --- We love and miss you soo much Kacie Rae --- 9/11/10 --- born sleeping at 29wks2d
there was a man in our city that went to the ER last week thinking he had ebola, but turns out it was negative. We have tons of the enterovirus crap going around right now.
We had a police station shut down and a fire station quarantined last week because someone dropped their friend off at the police station because they suspected Ebola.
There may be some confusion about safe haven laws. They'll gladly take your newborn. You need to take your Ebola to the ER.
The man had a cold.

I just spit my wine out laughing at that! The stupidity of people amazes me.
The nurse giving flu shots at dH's work said she wouldn't be surprised if Ebola came to New England in two years. Now my DH is freakung out that we are all going to die from Ebola. Sigh.

I love all of these people who throw out random things like that. My friend told me the other day she thinks it is going to get "bad" soon and peak in the US in April. Where do they get these timelines?

Thanks @gwapes I'm going to hell for laughing at that.

I can picture myself in the zombie apocalypse with a box of wine strapped to my huffy while I crash in a pot hole and immediately get eaten.
I kind of love these people.
