Update on Ella- pray, send vibes, do whatever you do- for a friends daughter

Yesterday at 7am four year old Ella was walking to the bus stop with her mom and two brothers who were in a stroller. A minivan ran a stop sign and took too sharp of a left turn ripping Ella out of her mothers hand and hitting the front end of the stroller. Ella's two year old brother fell out and Ella fell on top of him just as the front tires ran them over. Ella's brother was unharmed with only a scratch - while Ella is in critical condition. She does have brain damage showing on her CT from where she was in cardiac arrest so it's completely possible she will not be the same Little girl when they attempt to wake her in a few days. Please pray for Ella and this family. There is a support page "prayers for Ella" on FB if anyone is interested. Thank you.
Update- Ella is losing her fight- the damage to her brain is too extensive. The family is saying their goodbyes now. Continued prayers appreciated as they go through this unimaginable loss. Four years is not enough time. Heartbroken.

This is my worst fear, something unforeseeable, unpreventable, and devastating.

Prayers to this family-especially that the are believers and can be comforted by the image of their little girl leaping into Jesus' arms. Or, screw it, that they can find comfort in anything really.

I think that this being a tragic accident does make it so hard. Ella's mom posted this am that they were saying goodbye and she said "Ella I am so sorry I couldn't protect you". THAT. THAT RIPPED ME APART. I can't even begin to fathom the range of emotions she must be feeling. The blame. The anger. All of it. Even though it is in NO WAY her fault.

Oh my gosh how awful. I can't imagine the pain that mother is going through. Someone's stupid lack of respect for the law and others safety has taken so much from this poor family. It makes me so angry. Life is so unfair sometimes. I hope the family finds peace in the weeks, months or years to come. They have a very tough healing process ahead of them. It really breaks my heart.
