How are we doing? Did anyone try out a new workout? What did you try and what did you think of it?

Weekly Challenge: Abs, Engage!

This may sound like a weird one, but the challenge this week is to do some passive exercise. Basically, try to flex/engage your abs whenever you have some down time. During commercials, at red lights, when you're at the computer. Add a little extra burn to your day!

  • I have been in a mega slump. My back still hurts, so I don't want to work out, and the kids have been sick so I can't take them to the gym anyway. I really wanted to try a Pilates class, but that was a no go. I don't really know what to do with myself right now.

    Aww. I'm sorry. Hope your kids get better and your back feels better.

    can you do a Pilates video from Netflix or Prime or from your cable provider? I've seen a few videos you can do at home.

    I could, if my back was better. That's my major issue right now. At least I get a little workout at physical therapy.

    I am doing good.  I am not sure what weight I was at last time I posted, but I am probably down a pound or so since then.  It feels good to finally get over that weight hurdle I had been facing for so long.  I didn't try anything new, but I did change up my routine.  Instead of boot camp and running I toned it down a little and switched to the eliptical and weight training. 

    This reminds me that I need to fix my login - this is Cherry.
  • Going well-- eating well, been making salads at night with chicken

    Working out everyday. Running 2-3 miles and lifting. I love running outside- love the sunshine and everything but there is something about going to the gym that I love more. The treadmill doesn't give me shin splints, which is a big plus and I feel like I can run longer. It's weird.

    I just went to TJ Maxx and loaded up on workout gear- ALL 1 size smaller- so mediums instead of larges (my larges were falling off me!) It made my day thus far. :)

    drinking all the water except for at night when I do one glass of wine. Been good about not getting late night munchies. DH gets home and wants to eat and I have been good at NOT eating past 8.

  • I'm still maintaining without logging. I think it's been three weeks. I did have McDonalds twice this week though, yikes! Jalapeno double burgers are calling my name. So yummy!

    I really need to workout, but I'm still so tired from this medication. I know a workout would probably help with that, but the afternoon hits and I just can't keep my eyes open. I'm really going to try tomorrow, I may actually be able to have time earlier and avoid the afternoon drag altogether...i hope. It's a vicious cycle. :)

  • I'm doing pretty great. I'm down below my normal, everyday weight. Now to lose another 10-12. The 3/4th bottle of wine I had last night probably didn't help much, but I'm making up for it today.
