It all revolves around you.

Re: **GTKY**

  • Pay off DH's and my student loans from grad school. Shiz is expensive.

  • Probably pay off most of our mortgage. That way we could have the house paid off super quick and have more options if we want to move.

  • Pay off my high interest student loan and invest some to pay off my low interest loan over time. Then use the rest for a down payment on a larger house. That will never happen, though, because we have no rich relatives.

  • We would finish updating our house so it will sell quickly, then buy land in the country and start building a house. I'd also love to buy a nice camper for family vacations.

Aaaah classic personal finance 101!! Pay off the loans at a rate higher than you can earn, save and slowly pay off the loans at a lower rate than you can earn.

I'd take a vacation with a bit of it, invest half of what's left for college for the boys, and donate the rest to a local charity that does a lot of work around here supporting kids who don't always have a safe place to go and food to eat while mom and/or dad is at work.

  • Pay off my mortgage and then invest it. Possibly redo the kitchen and get new carpets.

  • Move back to where our families live, "home". It's a crummy economy up there but if we could get rid of our house and move we totally would.
  • Pay off debt. Then buy a lollipop with what was left over. Lol

  • Pay off the note on the house. Invest the rest in cattle.

  • Probably half to DS's college fund, and half to our retirement fund. Not very exciting stuff.

  • Quit my job, and take the time off to go back to school for my dream career of working with dogs. Then maybe start my own business

  • Use it to start the business dh has been dreaming of starting
  • Pay off debt, put some away for DD's college fund, then some travel (maybe the honeymoon we never had)

  • Maybe a vacation, but mostly into savings so we can buy land/build our dream home when DH finally gets out of the military.

  • ITK, you always start these GTKYs, but do you ever answer them? Are you just scamming us for info for the SS?

We're boring. We'd probably take a vacation somewhere and then spend the rest either investing in new business ventures or being invested in our retirement accounts.

Half into savings (long term, education, short term), hire a part-time nanny, upgrade some furniture around the house.
