intro...hello

hey everyone!! I have been lerking for about a week now and thought I should do a intro finally. me and my DH have been TTC for almost 3 yrs now and have decided to do adoption. I have a weird disorder where it makes it hard to carry a baby so adoption is our best option to start a family.
I was adopted when I was 12 though a DCFS in Illinois so that is the agency we are going though. it is a state funded foster care and adoption agency. any insight you have for me please pass it on this is all new for me and DH (it's different for me to be on the other end of this) thanks :)

 

Me- 27     DH 27
Married May 2011
TTC since Feb 2012
Diagnosed Hypothyroid Jan 2013
Went to OB Jan 2014 to test progesterone and Thyroid
test both came back normal going back
Feb 6th -2nd progesterone test came back good
Started seeing a RE april 2014
Vaginal Ultrasound Normal
hormone lab came back with elevated C-peptide
started Metformin may 2014
June 2014 autoimmune lab came back with elevated NKC
Decided to move on to adoption Oct 2014.  
Dh- Did SA came back normal

    January 2014--Picked Agency, had informational Meeting and turned in Application
    June      2014--Started our Home Study (all paperwork &fingerprinting that ensued)
    August  2014--Finished our Home Study and Officially Waiting

    Welcome!  I'm also an adult adoptee, but mine was a private adoption.  It is different being on the other end!  My DH and I are in the process of FTA in Wisconsin, but I have a friend doing FTA in Cook County if you ever want me to ask her anything.

    trying for #1 since May 2012... we're adopting! bringing home baby boy in january 2015!
