  I have mine on almost all the time or I would go crazy when lo will only sleep in my arms. Also I want him to be able to sleep with noise and not startle at the slightest noise like my little cousin. It's worked out really well so far

  Mine is on a lot, I like the noise. Plus when my older son isn't around and I'm feeding LO it's the perfect time to catch up on my DVR and Netflix!

  My tv is always on. I have to have background noise. I also want my LO to be able to sleep with noise going in around her.

  Everything PP have said. I used the tv and music a lot with DD1 because I have a huge family and I didn't want to be an asshole telling everyone to hush because I was trying to put her down for a nap or whatever. DD1 has no problem whatsoever. She can sleep through anything!
  I do just let it be quiet sometimes though, sometimes even I'm tired of hearing noise!!

  Ours is on most of the day. LO can sleep through anything at this point. The only time I've seen her wake up because of noise is when one of the dogs started barking standing right next to her.

  SAHM here and I would also go crazy if it didn't always have something on. Plus, I want him to be able to sleep well like me, and not wake up to every little thing like DH
