Playtex VentAire! We love them but they are only 6oz so I might need to move up to larger bottles soon. We have 8oz Dr. Brown's we were given but I am nervous to try something new.
We have a bunch of playtex ventaire that we use. I also have a handful of Walmart brand cheapies that he likes. He has taken to disliking the avent which is the only ones he would take in the beginning so we only use those when running low. I have 3 nuk ones and those are the worst.
right now we are using Evenflo and Gerber but I am trying really hard to make the switch back to the Playtex dropins we used with DS. I seriously cannot wash another bottle. but B really dislikes the wider base nipples so I'm hoping once his ST helps get his mouth stronger he will handle them better.
In the beginning when I had to supplement with formula I used the Lansinoh bottle that I got from BRU when we registered. She took it very well so we stayed with those, but now I've been EBF for the past two months and when I went to give her a bottle of expressed milk during the weekend she wouldn't take it! Same thing happened yesterday and now I'm a little worried since I'm going back to work on December. So today I went and got Tomee Tippee and Evenflo glass bottles to see if maybe she'll take any of those.
Right now my LO will take anything other than my boobs. We use Tommee Tippee at daycare (no glass bottle permitted) and we have 2 glass Avent bottles. LO likes the Tommee Tippee because they are lighter and wilder which makes it easier for her to hold on to. Also we have been using TT since day 1 so she's probably just used to it.
We use Dr Browns mostly but have also used TT and Nuk. I like the Nuk because she makes less of a mess but it's only a 5oz bottle and she's at 6oz per feeding. I have a ton of TT that were given to me but I prefer Dr Browns (although they're a hassle to clean). LO will pretty much take anything as long as there is formula in it.
Playtex VentAire but are now having an issue with the slow nipple being too slow and the Medium nipple being too fast.. so we are looking into other bottles.. was thinking about Dr. Browns, but not sure if their no 1 and 2 nipples are the same as the Vent Aire slow and medium nipple. We have an Avent bottle that works well, but not sure what nipple it is (we got it with the Target registration packet).. and it is only 4oz and we only have 1 lol
Started with Playtex VentAire, but I really hated cleaning them. Always had water dripping on me when I fed him. When I needed a larger bottle size, I weaned him over to Avent Natural. We've been using those ever since, with no problems. Just waiting for him to go up to nipple size 3.
Dr Brown's glass until he goes to daycare. At daycare he'll use Dr Brown's plastic with instructions not to heat them. Thank goodness he'll take a bottle at any temp!
We use Dr Brown, but honestly the only reason is because we were given one and DS never seemed to care so we went with it. With DD, she did best with the Avent.
@sarajoy00 Your Avent nipple is most likely a size 1, which is their slowest flow. That size comes standard with the 4 oz bottles. If you purchase the 9 oz bottles, you get a size 2 nipple with them.
Hahaha greaaaatt so she goes from wanting one slow nipple to another slow nipple.. Hahaha it does come out faster than the other bottle sometimes she will choke on it and so I switch back to the other one and she is completely fine.. Or she will eat out of the ventaire and suck then cry so I switch bottles and she is fine. I would really just like to stop the unessiary cries and fights switching back and forth between bottles lol
We use Tommy Tippee's and The Boobs bottles. He seems to like both. In the beginning I had to be careful not to shove the nipple in his mouth that come with the boob bottles. They are a little long and he'd almost choke, I learned my lesson:) We don't have any gas problems really, so both bottles are good in my opinion and they are easy to clean.
They started with Dr Brown glass and then I found Even Flo glass a helluva lot cheaper, so they use those now We still only use 4 oz size since they rarely eat more than that at one sitting.
We use the como tomo bottle it's the only one my lo would take after breast feeding. It's very soft and feels more like a breast and she loves it! I'm pretty sure you can only buy them online and there are kinda pricey but worth it.
