Reality check

I had a dentist appointment yesterday. Because my insurance does an additional cleaning while pregnant on top of the standard 2 appointments annually, it has only been 4 months since my last appointment and I was thinking how quickly it had gone by - I already knew I was pregnant the last time I went, which doesn't seem that long ago at all.

Then I had to schedule my next one 4 months from now. And I realized that I have to figure out who will watch my son while I get my teeth cleaned. This is the first time I have had to think about child care!

If the last 4 months flew by, it's really a shock to my system to think that I will have a son in less than that amount of time!!!

Anyone else have little things that make them realize how close this all is getting?!

I'm starting to panic ... we were told 4-6 weeks order/delivery time for our nursery furniture. Well, we still don't have it. Each time I walk into the nursery I'm reminded of how close we're getting and how I don't have the room set up or furniture yet.

Oh - and doctors appointments. My next appointment is on the 17th. After that I switch to every two weeks and then we're down to weekly visits. Doesn't seem real at all.

Yes! This lady at work told me to do this "for fun"....go back a month ago and look at your calendar to see what you were doing back then. I couldn't believe it...time FLIES!!! In one month, I'll need to be packed!!!

Yes- my insurance company doesn't let you order a breast pump until you're within 30 days of your due date. Mine shipped this week. Mind = blown, lol.

I haven't had a time check yet BUT I have a reality check every time I'm about to do something. Like last week I made a steamy hot bath and right before I got in I was like nope can't do this anymore and drained the water. I haven't had a coke since 9/9/14 and I haven't eaten lunch meat since then either and I'm addicted to board head deli meat. I'm just not use to being pregnant yet and that to me is a reality check lol.

I was cleaning DD playroom and I realized that this will soon be her new room. It just hit me that she won't be in the nursery beside us for much longer.

I also saw a newborn onesie the other day and I was like "holy crap babies are so small!"

It still doesn't seem real to me! And I know once the holidays start (with Halloween), baby will be here before I can really think about it! Meanwhile, time seems to be moving fast and slow with me. It's like I can't belive I'm this far along but at the same time, I can't wait for this weekend (as an example) or Halloween or my shower, etc.

I said I would help w/ my friend's baby shower... she's due in May. My best friend said "how are you going to help w/ two newborns". My heart started to race... lol
