Special Needs

Mommy is special needs

I have been nervous to make this post but I'm just going to do it and get it over with. I'm not sure if this is going to be a request for suggestions or just a rant. A few years before I had my first and only child, Vicky, I was diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder, which used to be commonly referred to as multiple personality disorder. I have 15+ separate personalities. This makes raising a child very difficult. While I do regularly attend therapy, the issue is going to be here for a while anyways, and I'm adapting to this every day. The biggest issue I have is when a child personality is in charge, but my boyfriend and roommate help with that. Vicky is 2 months and 2 weeks, and is still breast feeding. I constantly find myself pumping for child or masculine alters in addition to pumping for when I have work and class. It's going alright though. The only thing I'm really worried about is the angry alter doing something impulsive and dangerous. Thanks for listening! -Fin
