Baby diaper bags

So, I have been looking into diaper bags lately and I want something that is trendy. I love MK & I know that they came out with one just not sure if it is spacious enough. This is my first child so I don't know if I should purchase 2 diaper bags. One for the car and one for running around? Any suggestions on bags or helpful information would be great.

Re: Baby diaper bags

  • I know it's not MK. But my husband likes to shoot guns and he bought me what they call a range bag. I swear that was the best idea he ever had!! I would never go back to a normal diaper bag, and it is manly enough for a mad to use too. Comes a couple different colors. And has plenty storage space and pockets.

  • I think it depends on how much stuff you'll really take with you. I'm a minimalist because I HATE carrying around heavy bags, purses, etc. So, our diaper bag is on the smaller side and suits us just fine…we may need something bigger now that it'll be 2 kids. I am hoping it'll only be the newborn in diapers though!

  • I will go for the Kipling New Baby Bag. I love the quality of Kipling, it always last for so long!

  • I have only seen the MK bags online and they are cute, but I have no idea how functional they are.

I will  say that love, my Boxy Backpack from Petunia Pickle Bottom. It has been great for around town, playdates ect.  It is easy to carry, holds a ton, is pretty, (although not fashionable)  and has enough pockets even for this cloth diapering mom.
I do recommend the  the hardcover over the soft bags, because they are so much easier to carry and clean, and milk, and cheerios, and spit up will get on our diaper bag.

I also hear great things about the Ju Ju Be bags, although I didn't really like the designs.

I have one diaper bag, and DH has a diaper bag-he just got a backpack from REI. We have only needed the 2, but both have been very handy.
  • I'm loving many of the bags on Nordstrom.com but I don't want to spend a load of money. DH will probably get a messenger back or backpack. Someone posted that Petunia Picklebottom outlet is having a sale but two friends say they had one and the zipper broke on both.

  • We used 3.  One in each of our vehicles and one we took places.  The ones in the vehicles pretty much stay untouched unless we picked her up from somewhere and hadn't packed the main diaper bag.  They worked great in a pinch.  Then we'd restock them right away.  We also used cloth diapers so the main bag that we used had some in there and a wetbag, but the ones we kept in the vehicles had disposables and such.  We used them more as a backup, in addition they also had a spare set of baby clothes which we used more times than I'd like to admit.
